We are thrilled to have renamed our beautiful shop in honour of Lizzie’s maternal grandmother Millie Eleanor Watkins aka Millicent Bottomley.

Our name, like us (and the original Mrs Bottomley) is a little quirky.  We take great pride in delivering flowers that are whimsical, fun and different, and our new name needed to reflect that.

Mrs Millicent Bottomley was a quite a character. She read, knitted and listened to the Archers or parliament simultaneously each afternoon. Millicent kept a 20lb wooden box of cox’s orange apples under her bed and loved a nip of sherry. We look forward to sharing more of her stories with you over the coming months, and keep an eye out for her impact on the shop and in our social media!

We are sure that Mrs Bottomley would be tickled pink to be playing such a leading role in her granddaughter, and great granddaughters adventures.

Below are a few shots taken on the night of the shop looking fabulous and we will be sharing more photos of the celebrations on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Please pop in to see us soon and follow our social media.
At Mrs Bottomley’s Flowers We feel that flowers and floral design do not need limitations.
Nature gives us such a beautiful array of flowers and foliage that mainly go unnoticed.

We want to encourage others to find inspiration everywhere they look. There is beauty beyond carnations and gerberas – in climbing roses, cherry blossoms, jasmine trails. Add them to a vase of simple blooms and they will be transformed.

Anything in your garden can be utilised, and its potential to impress fulfilled.

Settled in the beautiful Victorian styled Tannery Emporium in Woolston, Christchurch NZ, the team at Mrs Bottomley’s Flowers look forward to welcoming you to our inspiring home.
